Meet Gavan

(Founder/ Mala Maker)

After spending nearly a decade in corporate accounting, Gavan reached a point many quietly face…
success on paper, but disconnection within.

What followed was a period of deep questioning, unraveling, and rebuilding.
In that space, he began to reconnect with what truly mattered: presence, purpose, and human connection.

Rooted in his Sikh upbringing and inspired by ancient spiritual traditions, Gavan began creating malas…not just as jewelry, but as tools for mindfulness, grounding, and transformation.

Each mala is handcrafted by him in Toronto through a deeply meditative process…
every bead intentionally selected, every knot tied with presence, often alongside mantra, music, or silence.

Over the years, he has connected with thousands across Ontario through markets and workshops, guiding people toward a practice they can return to… again and again.

For Gavan, this work is about more than creation.
It’s about holding space for others to come home to themselves.

Meet Alisha

Creative Director/ Breathwork Facilitator

Alisha’s journey began in the corporate world as well…until burnout became a turning point.

Seeking something deeper, she spent months traveling through Asia, immersing herself in Buddhist chanting, Hindu mantra, and spiritual philosophy. What she found wasn’t just knowledge…it was clarity, healing, and a new way of being.

Today, she is a certified breathwork facilitator through the Wholistic Health Project and brings a powerful blend of ancient practices and modern tools into every experience she offers.

At markets and workshops, Alisha guides individuals through breathwork and intuitive clarity sessions… often combining tarot, energy awareness, and grounded conversation to help people move from overwhelm to alignment.

She is the creative force behind Sovereign Souls…shaping the brand, the message, and the experience with intention and depth.

Our Story

Sometimes alignment doesn’t happen slowly…it arrives all at once.

Gavan and Alisha met in the elevator of their condo building…
at a moment when one was moving in, and the other was moving out.

A simple conversation turned into something more.
There was an immediate sense of familiarity, of shared perspective, of something unfolding.

In a twist that still makes them smile, Alisha ended up gifting Gavan her couch… a small act that opened the door to a deeper connection.

Soon after, Gavan invited her over for a homemade Indian meal with his family. That moment became the true beginning.

From there, everything expanded…
creatively, personally, and spiritually.

What started as two individuals finding their own paths became a shared mission: to create, to connect, and to bring meaningful tools and experiences into the lives of others.
